Any child residing or attending school within the town limits of Augusta, Chelsea, China, Belgrade, Manchester, Mt. Vernon, Oakland, Palermo, Readfield, Sidney, Waterville, Wayne, Whitefield, Windsor, Winslow, Winthrop, and Vassalboro, Maine is eligible to play Baseball in Augusta Little League.
BEFORE YOU REGISTER, review all the important information on this page for the required documents that you will need during the registration process. When you are ready, click on "Register" on the upper right part of our website to start the registration process.
1. Uploading Documents During Registration
The system has a 1MB file size limitation for uploading documents. We recommend scanning documents to PDF with scanner settings that ensure the PDF is less than 1MB. If you decide to use your smartphone to photograph documents you will need to ensure that each file is under 1MB. A good way to do this is to use the free Genuis Scan app for iPhone or Android. Be sure to use "Single" mode. After photographing, tap the share icon and change the File size setting to be under 1MB. Then save the document to your device or e-mail it to yourself to get it to the device where you plan to perform registrations.
2. Copy of Driver's License or State Photo ID
For parent(s)/guardian(s). Required to complete the volunteer form. All parents/guardians are expected to volunteer in some capacity during the season as Augusta Little League is run 100% by volunteers. You must complete the volunteer form and upload a copy of your photo ID during registration. After registration, you will receive an email from JDP (the company contracted by Little League to conduct background checks) with a link to go to their website and provide required information for them to a background check before you are cleared to be a volunteer.
3. Proof of Age
You must provide a copy of the player's birth certificate issued by the state, country, or municipal government. There is a step in the registration process where you can upload a PDF or image of the birth certificate. It must be clearly legible. This is required for both new and returning players because of the registration system.
4. Proof of Residency or School Enrollment
You must provide EITHER proof that the player resides in the towns of Augusta, Chelsea, China, Belgrade, Manchester, Mt. Vernon, Oakland, Palermo, Readfield, Sidney, Waterville, Wayne, Whitefield, Windsor, Winslow, Winthrop, and Vassalboro -OR- proof that the player is enrolled at a school in these communities as of 9/30/2023.
- If you choose to use Proof of Enrollment at a school in any of the above-listed communities, provide a copy of the School Enrollment Form (download here). It must be signed by the parent/guardian as well as a School Administrator (Principal or Vice Principal). If you provide the signed School Enrollment Form you do NOT have to submit any Proof of Residency/address documents! We strongly recommend this option for our players.
- If you choose to use Proof of Residency in any of the above-listed communities, provide copies of 3 items showing a physical address (documents with P.O. Boxes are not valid for this purpose), dated or in force between February 1, 2023, and February 1, 2024. Each of the 3 items must come from a DIFFERENT Group (see list below); for example, an electric and cable bill will only count as one of the three items.
5. Other Information
During the registration process, you will also need to provide the following information:
- Family physician name, address, and phone number;
- Medical insurance company, Policy Number, and Group Number;
- Two emergency contacts (names & phone numbers);
