Capital Improvement Campaign

Little League baseball in Augusta has certainly changed over the years. Once three separate leagues, now all have merged into one league for the entire area. Fields on the Piggery Road have been used since 1959 and, although various updates and improvements have occurred over the years, these facilities have been virtually untouched for over 25 years, until in 2018 when we constructed a new blockhouse at Linscott Field for roughly $40,000.

To make these improvements, the Augusta Little League is undertook a major Capital Improvement Campaign. The Capital Improvement Campaign had a goal to raise $40,000 for Phase I to pay for the new Linscott Field’s storage facility, press box and PA system. Phase II's goal is to raise another $30,000 for a makeover of Rivelli Field infield, Press Box, etc. in 2019; and Phase III is to raise a final $50,000 to develop an efficient watering and drainage system, plant trees, and build improved and safer bleachers.

We hope you will consider helping in a significant manner so our complex can have the improvements done according to the timeline. Donations of all sizes matter. Parents and grandparents can help us realize campaign success by donating money, by donating volunteer labor, or by helping make contacts with businesses and people in the greater Augusta community and sharing our story.
